User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042316 Firefox/3.0.10 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042316 Firefox/3.0.10 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Ctrl + arrow used to scroll down the available search engines, but without showing the dropdown. As I had sorted the search engines so that I knew where they were, it was my favourite shortcut. I wonder why it was removed? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Type in the search bar in Firefox 3 2. Press ctrl + down/up arrow 3. Nothing happens, where it used to work in Firefox 2 Actual Results: Nothing Expected Results: Browsing through the search engines
Do you see any errors in the Error Console which can be found under tools? Further please start Firefox in Safe Mode (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode) to check if the same behavior happens when running Firefox without extensions. It could be that an add-on grabs this keyboard shortcut and it is not propagated to the search bar at all.

We certainly haven't removed the shortcut, anyways. Works for me in 3.0.x and a trunk nightly on Mac.
