This issue is not appearing with any version firefox 2. This issue is appearing in firefox 3.5b4 as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Play a flash file with sound. 2. When the flash gets over, invoke VLC via firefox (not the VLC mozilla plugin. Just use a PHP script to call system() command and envoke VLC to play some video. Actual Results: No audio output in the video file. Expected Results: The video file should produce audio output No theme, no extensions. Its plain firefox installation
The flash player is playing the sound directly without Firefox. This looks more like a system issue with your sound system.
