The error dialogs that appear when sending/delivering mail contains text that cannot be copied to the clipboard.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Yahoo Mail apparently now insist that all accounts you're sending mail from are registered. I.e., if your Y! account is [e-mail] but you're "really sending" from [e-mail], then Yahoo mail (recently decided it) needs to know about [e-mail] (new anti-SPAM measure?). Until you do this, you will get an error back from sending mail with a Yahoo SMTP server. It reports among others a URL you need to visit; something like http://mail.yahoo.com/us/l/.../sendfrom-7.html . It's a rather long URL and definitely not "user friendly". All you get is the modal dialog.
Actual Results:  
Problem: URL is not clickable and (worse) not copy-able. If I could select the URL, copy, paste into browser that'd be cool. Unfortunately, you have to enter by hand.

Expected Results:  
That I could either select and copy the text, or that the URL itself was clickable.

Entering a long URL by trial-and-error will frustrate folks.

Ludovic, inconvenience bug opener pointed is "text in error dialogs cannot be copied to the clipboard". It's same for account setting panel, menu text, ....
Christian J. Callsen(bug opener): Could you please change to "Severity:Enhancement"? 

By the way, I guess enhancement is already requested, because we testers have to display dialog/panel and open text editor and type text upon bug reporting or comment posting every time...

Oh. Sorry guys, I had to fix the problem (wife's laptop). If you need an SMTP log of the problem, let me know and I'll schedule a maintenance windows to see if I can reproduce it again (it was very consistent when I tried it).

Anyway, text from alert dialogs certainly are copyable nowadays. Don't know why that wouldn't work for you.

My point exactly. I am sorry if I wasn't more clear. A copyable text dialog would be fine. The problem is that the one I got was a modal dialog where no text could be selected from. If you somehow can turn on "copyable" I'd be quite happy.
