Jetpack statusbar panels disappear after about:jetpack tab or window closes - they re-appear when you re-open about:jetpack.
This may be linux-only? or win/lin?

Thanks for the report, David. I suspect this is because the hidden window on win/lin is different from the one on Mac--I think it's an HTML file w/ chrome privs on win/lin and a XUL file on the Mac.
about:jetpack is supposed to reload itself in the hidden window when it's closed as a tab, but that doesn't seem to be happening here.

Just duplicated this problem on Windows. Specifically, the following error is logged:
"Security Error: Content at resource://gre/res/hiddenWindow.html may not load or link to about:jetpack."

Oh, this is eminently fixable. When the iframe is in the hidden window, its URL should just point at its chrome: URI equivalent rather than about:jetpack, so as long as we synonymize those two URIs, we should be good.

I think I have fixed this in:

ddahl just verified this fix works, so I'm closing this bug.
