when rendering a file with many lines of the following firefox 3.5 hangs.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. make a html file and enter hundreds of the described line (see above)
2. goto file - open the html file.
3.
Actual Results:  
browser hangs

Expected Results:  
load file in 1 sec like IE

Attachment: I corrected the html errors from Validator, Firefox hangs nevertheless

Firefox still hangs, even after correcting the html-validator errors. (the strange html coding was once created to get the right display positions in browsers)

Firefox 3.5.1 completely chokes on your attachment.

Also, I noticed on pages with many form input elements, the browser hangs when I click to enter text into one. Then when I enter text and click off of it, it hangs again. Is this a related issue?

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode or a fresh profile? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

This bug has had the CLOSEME tag for several weeks and the date in the tag is far gone. If the reporter can still see this issue, Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Then please remove the closeme tag in the whiteboard, mark the bug against the proper version and comment on the bug.
