While the Ignore Version Check feature to install an add-on in an incompatible version of Firefox is nice, it would be equally as nice to be able to disable this check for all add-ons.

If this feature already exists, I have not found it. Therefore, it should be made more visible.
We don't really want to encourage this, actually. Users often think there's no risk and ignore important checks allowing breakage with incompatible extensions. It's a common support problem every release. Any overrides here should be done with care on a per-add-on basis, so I think that a global version of this isn't a safe idea. (even taking into account that a login is required)
How about an opt-out pref in the account settings?
Opt-out of what? A pref for globally disabling version checking to be added to the account settings? Would have to be opt-in if it was done, and again, I don't think it's a good idea for most people even if it would be helpful to some.
Opt-out, opt-in, whatever...

Anyway, it's just an idea I had as it would definitely be something I would make use of. Feel free to veto it.
I think this is a WONTFIX, sorry. The version check exists for a good reason and as Dave says, we don't want to encourage this. The Firefox guys get enough support requests that are based on people installing incompatible add-ons as it is.

Of course, you can always write yourself a greasemonkey script that does this for you.
