screenshot

Go to <https://support.mozilla.com/tiki-poll_results.php?locale=en-US>.
The 'Choose question' drop-down menu goes into the sidebar. (see screenshot)

I only see this on Windows.

The dropdown just needs "width: 100%" set. Otherwise, it'll just expand to wherever it pleases.

select width patch v1

This would help with ALL selects contained in fixed-width blocks.

This patch was back out at r27615 to test for a potential conflict with the screencasts UI. See bug 497695 for more.

If that's the case, a more pin-point fix needs to be used, which means a stricter selector.

Just to confirm, this indeed conflicts with the screencasts UI in Firefox 2.
I propose we use the same approach, but add the IE hack for max-width from below:

What do you think, Eric?
I'm only suggesting this because it would potentially fix further bugs of this type as well.

tiki-poll-results is not getting used really, so this is not a big deal right now.
