On https://preview.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/collections/popular?show=7&page=13, there's clipping of the last "s" in clouserw's add-on -- see the screenshot.
Yeah, we do have a problem there: Either we do use overflow:hidden, that'll clip characters when a name gets too long. Or we let it screw up the layout. We could also either use overflow:scroll, or force-line-break the names in PHP (uuug-ly!). Asking rdoherty for advice. Ryan, any words of wisdom?
I've said in previous bugs that this is type of user-entered data should be considered abuse. I can't think of many words that would be that long. If a user is entering that much text without spaces they are most likely trying to break the system. We should not spend time trying to fail gracefully. I say clip it (overflow:hidden).
I figured as much and agree. Thanks! Stephen: Note that if the name does contain spaces, line breaks will be applied as usual. The clipping really only occurs when a single, humongous word exceeds the available width.

Verified -- it's a giant, contiguous string indeed, which I wouldn't really expect in the wild.
