I recently noticed that I am informed of missed calls by mail. To my pleasant surprise I was able to click on the tel:+49891234567 link in the mail and Thunderbird started the MS Communicator automatically. OK - How about implementing this also in the address book? Currently the numbers are not clickable - only mail and the web page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Address book 2. Click on address entry 3. Try to click on phone number Actual Results: Nothing happens Expected Results: Should start the external program defined in the OS for the handling of phone numbers. The address book can handle the links already as a web address of the form tel:+4989... calls the OS's tel: Handler. One suggestion would be to be able to prefix phone numbers with a protocol (in the preferences). If set then display the phone number as a link and run the appropriate application.
