This happens for me only in Thunderbird. When TB starts, it displays the master password required dialog. The box has the active window titlebar and the cursor is flashing away in the entry box. However, if I type, nothing happens.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set a master password
2. Configure TB to check your e-mail on startup
3. Restart TB
4. TB will display the master password required dialog. Do it let you type or do you have to move the focus around to get it to work?I have to move the
Actual Results:
I have to move the focus to another window and then move it back to enter my password.

Expected Results:
If the window is current and has the focus in the entry box, I should be able to type away.

This is a small nuisance worth reporting. When my thunderbird is started, the master password prompt appears with a blinking cursor in the text field. But it's not really focused. It has to be clicked for focus.

The password prompt should be focused automatically.

In the meantime it's 2014 - and guess what, we have to click before we can type.

Don't get it. This one is about the focus, the other one about the screen position. Search there for "focus": you'll find nothing.
I'm fairly sure it's the same root cause. If this turns out not to be the case, we can reopen this bug.

Booted M$**** 10. Non-admin login. Thunderbird. Master password entry dialog appears in the center, but doesn't have the f** focus. Closed TB. MPED still there! Closed it too. And once again. If you call TB after that, everthing works fine: MPED in the center and with the focus. Hope this helps you. Bye.
