STR * Create a Firefox window with a single tab viewing a web page. * Drag the tab to the desktop. Expected results * Create a shortcut to the web page (or perhaps a failed drag). Actual results * A file of length 1 is created on the desktop with contents "h". (In Firefox 3.0.10, at least the file contained a URL, though creating a link/shortcut would be more useful, which is bug 442446) The mime type of the data transfer seems to be text/x-moz-text-internal. I think the desktop is run by kwin-3.5.9.

(In reply to comment #0) > Expected results > * Create a shortcut to the web page (or perhaps a failed drag). Sorry when I'm confused but we should tear-off this tab on Linux too, right?
I think the intention is that we should tear-off when there is more than one tab (which is not happening), and that nothing should happen when there is only one tab (but files are getting created). Ignore my link/shortcut expectation, I think. That would probably be better implemented through dragging the icon in the urlbar.
That sounds better. Thanks for clarification Karl.
Tabs now tear off for me with KDE 4.4.5 and Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.9.2.12pre) Gecko/20101004 Namoroka/3.6.12pre
