An experimental extension not compatible with the current browser version that is shown in the featured box on the front page gets the "This add-on is for older versions of Firefox" placeholder but is also getting the "Let me install this experimental add-on. What's this?" checkbox. The checkbox does nothing. Note that the coloring is also broken here; it should be pink/red but it's showing normally.

The add-ons' public pages and the search listings show things correctly with just the incompatible message and the red/pink color.

Of course, I would hope that if we wanted to show these add-ons on the front page that they'd be reviewed and be not experimental first. They really shouldn't be here like this, but nonetheless they are and show that it isn't working correctly. When they're experimental but compatible, things seem to work fine.

For what it's worth, they're obviously just like that because the preview database is out of date. They're public on production.

The coloring and alignment problems were fixed in bug 496371.

If this were a bug likely to happen on production I'd list this is major, but it really shouldn't come up that often.
