I opened the file called "navigator.xul" from the core components
by using "File-Open File" and browsing to the right Mozilla
subdirectory. (I'm sorry I don't have the url handy).

When I tried to access Preferences from the Edit menu from that opened
sub-window, the Mozilla process crashed in KERNEL32.DLL.

I know this is not critical because no one needs to reopen navigator.xul
in real world, but it alerts about a bug. You decide.

Have a nice day :)
I crash simply trying to load the navigator.xul into mozilla.

warren, is this related to changes you made this weekend for bug 43654?

*** Bug 49761 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Linux, nightly build 2000090208 still crashes.
win98 does'nt crash me. Can anyone test on linux?
note: i was able to repro this, until I killed my profile, which fixed it.
Retested with linux 2000090908. Killed my profile. The bug is still here.
Unfortunately I;m unable to report the stack trace as the mozilla-crashed
windows stays active and I cannot switch to the debugger window.

However the segfault is here:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

pmcq@emmenet.it - using iwn98 2000091304, i cannot reproduce it. Can you repro
with a new linux build?
reopening. I load the file, then in the nested(!) UI, I try to load preferences,
and kaboom, crash.

This seem to be fixed.

Doron: Can you test this bug ?

2001100308/linux
I have a crash (seg fault) when I disable XUL Caching and open Preferences
dialog (without needing to open navigator.xul).
Could it be related to bug 102121 ?
