496730 - linked button images not working in all websites

Any linked image of a button such as search, or the Find button that is located on bugzillas main page does not work. I click on it to progress and the page just sits there. This is a problem on every site that contains a linked image of a button. I have uninstalled the browser and reinstalled including safe mode and the problem still exists. This happens as soon as I open firefox for the first time of the day and at any time it is opened.

Expected Results:  
after clicking button the Find, Search or Next action should start and bring me to the next page.

This works fine for me with firefox trunk and 3.5. Please create a new profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles and try there.

Fixed. I had to delete over 300 corrupt files in the profile folder.

ok, corrupt files are invalid. What files were they though?

It was the places.sqlite.corrupt file. I'm not sure what caused me to have 100's of these files that were corrupt. I do know that this caused a big delay when switching a tab and using that page.

Having multiple places.sqlite files and multiple corrupt ones at that is a pretty serious bug, so I'd say this ought to be WFM rather than Invalid as it is definitely our bug unless they are created via an extension.

I won't mess with the resolution since it doesn't really matter, but I'll move this into the proper component so that it shows up in future searches.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
