+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #343903 +++ We have the same situation again which was already fixed on bug 343903. When no window is open on OS X and pressing Cmd+K or selecting "Tools > Web Search" the search bar is not focused. Instead the location bar has the focus. I tested back to Firefox 2.0.0.20 where it doesn't work either. This report came in from Litmus. Steps to reproduce: 1. Close all windows 2. Press Cmd+K With step 2 a new window has been opened and the focus should be inside the search box.
Litmus testcase 6209 has been disabled meanwhile: https://litmus.mozilla.org/show_test.cgi?id=6209

If this has been broken since Firefox 2, we're not going to go out of our way to take it for a 3.5.x release. We can fix it in 3.6 or later.
