Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042315 Firefox/3.0.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042315 Firefox/3.0.10 Sorry - not exactly a bug with Firefox, but nowhere else to go? I have uploaded an extension to the AMO site, I get a success confirmation and the option to Edit My Add On. When I try to do this, I get "Add on not found". The Status page says: "You do not have sufficient priviledges to make changes on this page". Accessing links on Status page result in Access Denied. I have tried this TWICE now, the second time with a different GUID and name for my addon. Can you please reset the status of my addon so that I can edit it. I have seen a number of people having the same problem - there is no easy way to find out what to do: one person mentioned in the forum that he raised a bug against you and you fixed his issue. Can you please add a link to the AMO site for such problems with the site?? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create Addon with valid install RDF 2. upload to AMO site 3. click link to Edit My Addon Actual Results: Result page is "Addon Not Found". If I go to Status page (I already opened this in another tab) I get warning about privileges. Expected Results: Should be able to complete the details about my Addon I think the problem is related to the fact the first Addon I submitted had an invalid max version in the RDF - I was told to correct the version and upload again. I did this and the upload was successful, but I could not edit the Addon. I have since created a completely new 'version' of the addon - different GUID and different name in the RDF, but I get the same result. First one I submitted was: GUID surfclarity@surfclarity.net, name surf.clarity. Please delete this. The second one was GUID DFBEBDA6-4BFF-46E3-A968-5CCAE63E747A name surfclarity - I would like to edit/complete this one. Both were submitted from the same AMO account.

(In reply to comment #2) > No response, ->INCOMPLETE No the link doesn't work - after logging in I get the Access Denied page.

You're the owner of both add-ons now. The first is disabled. The second is incomplete. Once you add a summary and description you'll be able to move it to the sandbox. The link in comment 1 should work for you now as should the developer tools link in the header.

note that caching policies are still in place so changes will take some time to take affect.

thanks - I am able to update the details now
I have updated the add on, but cannot select a category - when I select Manage Addon Categories I get the message "No categories are available for this add-on type and application."

You have no versions (and therefore no files) so there is no application associated with your add-on. You need to add a new version which will let you upload a file.

I can still repro this, using the same repro steps, but for a search-engine addon. I was able to repro it twice in a row. The addon is called "43 things". Should I reopen this bug or submit a new one?
I have edited the addon successfully - you can close this bug for me, but may be a good idea to open a generic bug as the error that caused it must still exist - I think the problem is uploading an addon for the first time that has an error in the RDF file.
