when left clicking the search button on search bar nothing happens.

When I type something in the search bar and left click the search button, nothing happens. Though when I middle click the search request opens in a new tab.

Expected Results:  
results from search engine in current tab

I have peers add-on. don't know if it interferes or not.
This WFM in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090608 Minefield/3.6a1pre (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) ID:20090608044017. Can you please create a new profile and see if it happens there?

Further do you see any error in the Error Console? Can you try to move your formhistory.sqlite file temporarily out of your profile and start Firefox afterward? Does it solve the problem? Help where to find the profile you get here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles
