User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042708 Fedora/3.0.10-1.fc10 Firefox/3.0.10 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.21 Right clicking on an event in a google calendar (in lightning 0.9), thunderbird immediately crashes. The crash happens on the COPY or CUT, and I don't get a chance to paste. This only happens with events from the Google calendar Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.make sure you have a google calendar sync'd with lightning via GData provider 2.create at least one event in your calender. Right click on it in the Month view (haven't tested other views) 3. select "Copy" or "Cut" Actual Results: Thunderbird crashes and disapears immediately Expected Results: To be able to copy like normal calendars The event was NOT a recurring event (but i think it'll crash if i copy ANY Google calendar event). It had a customized reminder (5 days before event). Only 2 add-ons are installed (lightning 0.9 and Provider for Google calender 0.5.1). Can't think of any additional info.
Sorry, the first paragraph should have said: Right clicking on an event in a google calendar (in lightning 0.9) "AND CLICKING COPY OR CUT" thunderbird immediately crashes. The crash happens on the COPY or CUT, and I don't get a chance to paste. This only happens with events from the Google calendar
Do you use official Thunderbird/Lightning builds from mozilla.org or custom builds from Fedora? If mozilla.org: Could you post the talkback incident ID of the built-in crash report system? If Fedora: Does the issue exists with official mozilla.org builds too? Otherwise the Fedora developers might help you with investigation. Do you see any messages in Tools > Error Console or in shell console during the incident?

Sorry didn't get a chance to read or test. Will look into these things and reply soon.
Ok. Sry bout the late response. I WAS using the Thunderbird that comes with Fedora. The one I just downloaded from the official thunderbird download site seems to not have that problem. I guess I'll use that one instead. I assume this means that it's a Fedora-related bug. In case you're still interested: The error console does not display any information (no error messages or any text at all). Running from the command line, the following line is printed as thunderbird terminates: /usr/lib/thunderbird-2.0.0.21/run-mozilla.sh: line 131: 7900 Segmentation fault "$prog" ${1+"$@"}
If anyone knows why it happens, I'm still interested in knowing (even though it works for me now). I could post on the fedora forums.
Yes, please report this with the fedora folks instead if you are interested.
