User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042315 Firefox/3.0.10
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.10) Gecko/2009042315 Firefox/3.0.10

The following is an extract of the page showing the HEX for it. The symptom was that there was a blank line (vertical white space of 20px) at the top of the page. This was present in IE7 as 15px of white space and Safari showd no white space. It appears that the white space is caused by the invisible character before the start of the open tag for DOCTYPE. I have no idea where the invisible character came from but after deleting it the page renders correctly.

It stats with 0a0a0a0a, the next 2-3 characters are the dodgy one

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a document with a character of the given hex value before the doctype declaration tag.
2. Render the page and you will see white space at the top of the page as if there is an implicit margin or padding, even when collapsed.
3.
Actual Results:
You see white space at the top of the rendered page.

Expected Results:
There should not be any white space caused by the spurious invisible character.
