Press return 4.To take full advantage of GMX we recommend dowloading Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 3 or Safari 3 5. try and enter user name and password. Actual Results: This displays at the top of the page. "To take full advantage of GMX we recommend dowloading Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 3 or Safari 3" Entering username and password ... no response from gmx Expected Results: I would expect no message suggesting that firefox is incompatible and for the login to be successful
Forgot to add that this happened after installing fedora 11 which had firefox 3.5 beta 4 installed.
That's not a bug in Firefox (bugzilla is used to file bugs). It's that the website that detects that you're not using Firefox 3.0, but Firefox 3.5 (and a beta at that). They do that by readfing the User-Agent string, which is the same as displayed at the top of comment 0. You can safely ignore that warning (which is displayed by the website, not by your browser !), since Firefox 3.5 is very compatible with Firefox 3.0. I don't know why your login fails right now. gmx.com should fix that warning so that it doesn't misdetect Firefox 3.5, but I think that it will only do that when the official version is ready, not the beta. But that shouldn't be a long wait ... (hint). Closing this bug as invalid, since it's not a bug in the browser. But you can always notify gmx.com to see if they can fix it at their site.
