Takes up 1GB Of ram upon double clicking the firefox icon, will not open firefox either

After installing firefox, and trying to launch it, computer gets extremely slow,
after bring up the taskbar, I see ram rocketing from 10MB to 400MB to 700MB to 1GB, PageFile at 2.4GB, before I shut down firefox.exe
firefox won't show up at all during this time, were talking about 10-20 seconds that this is happening!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install firefox hebrew from the main website
2. don't restart, launch it.
System specs:
C2D E8400 3.0GHZ
2GB Kingston 5-5-5-18 DDR2 800MHZ
Inno3D 9600GT 1024MB DDR3
500GB Seagate SATAII drive
LG Drive
Ezcool 450W
Gigabyte SLI motherboard
all default setings

Can you please try to click on Firefox (Safe Mode), instead of firefox.

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.12 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
