And in this case the URL bar doesn't work properly (neither the autocomplete nor the navigation).
I can not reproduce this on Vista using the lastest trunk nightly. Can you reproduce in safe mode or with a new profile?

The problem occurs in this configuration too: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; hu; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090616 Firefox/3.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
It's worth noting that the same does not happen to the search box.

Also happens to me on XP in normal and save mode. Interestingly it works fine when the urlbar is focused by shortcut (Ctrl+L) And after the first attempt to enter text it works fine, too. Just the very first try fails regularly. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1

When creating a new tab in fullscreen mode, the location bar should become visible and gain focus. That should solve this problem in the process.

As like as comment 16 , I too can't reproduce this one. Firefox had a lot of upgrades meanwhile. Closing this as WORKSFORME.
