Then install Firefox with import bookmarks from IE. Then you end up with Firefox with the only bookmarks, things about IE webslices. This is rather stupid (and for me it was confusing). Suggest, to filter out the default IE bookmarks, when importing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Fresh IE8 install 2. Fresh Firefox install 3. With import bookmarks from IE Actual Results: In firefox standard IE bookmarks. Expected Results: No IE advertisement.

default ie bookmarks are a moving target, having to update every time they update them sounds crazy, users can easily get rid of unwanted bookmarks, imo.
agreed, don't want to get in the game of chasing that moving target. easy workaround: the user can remove it at any time.
