There's a basic test for this in litmus which checks for import from IE (general), not specifically for IE8. Investigating.

Tried on IE8 Version 8.0.60001.18702, and Fx3.5b4 as well as Fx3.5RC1, but I cannot replicate the problem. The import settings wizard comes up on first run, as well as by launching it from the File menu, and after it is done importing I can use Fx, with no freeze. I ran this test while IE8 was running, and also when it wasn't running.

Reporter, is there any way you could try this using the latest Firefox 3.0x version, like 3.0.11?
