Seen while testing Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090616 Firefox/3.5 STR: 1. Visit the site in the URL field 2. Download the file and then Choose "Open with". 3. I then selected MS Excel from the list of files in my Applications Folder Expected: Should show the name of the program Actual: Does not show the name of the program See attached screenshot. I tried with a few different programs such as Open Office and it did show the name.

Marcia, that works fine for me even in a fresh profile. Have you already tried a fresh one? Does it solve the problem? If yes, you should try if the mimetype file is broken in your former profile. Move it away and check again.

I have been able to reproduce this issue on two different macs and I did try with fresh profiles. The name still does not display. I have the MS Office 2004 suite.
