This is also true on my Mac -- the beach ball shows up for several seconds when I command Q -- it's pretty darned annoying!
With 60 extensions and 48 hours since start, my Firefox takes 3 minutes to close. Windows XP 64 / PHENOM II X4 945 / RAM 4 GB

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
