This bug was _not_ present in Firefox 3. I use english Windows XP with swedish keyboard. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click in the google search box 2. Type åäö 3. Watch as your typing comes out as ['; Actual Results: ['; Expected Results: åäö I tried to change the locale settings to swedish only but that did not help. I did not restart FF 3.5 though.

I restarted FF 3.5 Now it works and I get nice åäö Maybe this is a low prio bug?

I just saw this bug after upgrading today to current Firefox on a pc running swedish windows xp.
I should have reported from this mail address. This is not a minor bug. There must be something that is very wrong when this happens - and it may makes Firefox rather useless for users not using a US keyboard.

No, I don't see this problem in FF 3.6.13. Thanks.
This bug has had the CLOSEME tag for several weeks and the date in the tag is far gone. If the reporter can still see this issue, Please retest with Firefox 3.6.x or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). Then please remove the closeme tag in the whiteboard, mark the bug against the proper version and comment on the bug.
