Using M17 : go to www.tripod.com and click the build link which prompts you for a login. if you hit cancel it keeps popping up a window without giving you an error page like netscape 4.7 also, if you go to the upload file screen on tripod or use the input type=file tags on a multipart form/data there is no browse button generated unlike netscape 4.7 so you can select your file from a file on the local hard disk... also silly artifact bugs like pull down lists leaving edges visible on the screen should be removed - theyre just silly.
please see the bug writing guidelines at http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html it is extremely difficult to process a bug with multiple issues like this. I am going to focus this bug on the login problem and you can file a seperate bug on teh upload file dialog problem. Visiting the site you suggested and clicking on the build tab loads a page with login and password forms in the left table. I don't see where you can press cancel to generate this problem? Please report back with more details. Thanks for your help in testing mozilla and reporting bugs.
I don't see a cancel button either. Perhaps you're talking about Basic authentication and the Forbidden page, but I don't see this on Tripod at all. The file upload bug that you speak of works for me. I'm not sure what you're saying in bug number three. Based on this, I'm marking invalid.
