Reinstalled V. 2.0.0.17 works fine again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Save massage as .eml 2. Use Exploerer and doubleclic on it 3. Actual Results: Thunderbird is coming up and shows the Folders on the left split-window, but no Folder selected, the right part of the window appears blank Expected Results: Show the Message readable
This doesn't sound like bug 499958 since Thunderbird is correctly identified as default mail application for double-clicking from Explorer, thus not a dupe.
It's the same behavior as described if I open the File xyz.eml from my program using ShellExecuteEx...

The actual version 2.0.0.23 (20090812) does exactly what she should do: she open the Mail with readable body and useable attachments. Congratulations and many thanks to all involved people. Mike PS: I have one great wish: to drag an E-Mail to an file-accepting client...
