eg. www.domain.com and subdomain.domain.com are sorted separately, but should be next to each other.

This is the history sidebar version of bug 349863. Bug 446236 would be a dupe of this. Could call this a dupe of 282220?

Have confirmed with a fresh profile, yes this still happens.
No reply from reporter, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.

Er I did reply. And yes this still happens with a fresh profile with Firefox 3.6.12.
