User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060309 Ubuntu/8.04 (hardy) Firefox/3.0.11 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.21 (20090318) Progress bar works perfectly sending short emails. When larger email is sent (e.g., one with photos or other enclosures), the bar disappears after about 30% completion. From that point forth, the bar does not appear unless Thunderbird is restarted. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create an email with large attachment(s). 2.Send email. 3.Watch upload progress bar and note that it disappears when approximately 30% of the email is uploaded. 4.Note that progress bar no longer appears for even short messages. 5.Restart Thunderbird. 6.Progress bar works perfectly until next large send. Actual Results: No progress bar appears during uploads until Thunderbird is restarted. Expected Results: After restart, progress bar appears as it should. (None.)

Thank you for the followup. I appreciate it. Unfortunately, I am unable to answer your question since I stopped using the mail client and am instead using GMail through the browser. Regards...alan (In reply to comment #1) > Alan, is this still seen when using a recent version?
thommie, can you confirm this occurs with version 5 beta, or something more recent than v2?
