User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.11) Gecko/2009060308 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.11

I did make some collections, all works great. But when i mark them as favorites, they sometimes appear in the Addon Collector, sometimes not. I have tried different strategies to get them displayed, but nothing works. Hitting the reload-button in the Addon Collector doesnt help. Also logout and then login doesnt help.

Thats very frustrating, they just wont appear.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Happens every time i use the Addon Collector.

Some additional information about my configuration, given from the extension "MR Tech Toolkit":

Now i have created a new profile with the profile manager, and then i have installed the Addon Collector and logged in. Then all collections, which i have marked as favorites appeared!!! So i have uninstalled and reinstalled the Addon Collector in my default profile and logged in, but it didnt help!
Dave,

This sounds like a corrupted DB in the first profile to me. Can you suggest any remedies?

Yes, you could be right. Deleting the sqlite file should fix it.

Please remove the files in the following directory and restart firefox.

~/.firefox/Profiles/xxx/sharing@addons.mozilla.orgbandwagon.sqlite*
Hi

Thank you very much! You were right!
Deleting the DB fixed it! :)

But this case should be recognized by the Addon Collector and automatically fixed.
If possible.

I'm not sure the correct behaviour for this.

We could:

1) delete the corrupt sqlite file when we can't open it.

2) delete the sqlite file on extension uninstall so at least a reinstall fixes the problem.

3) both of these.
If the DB does not contain data that's irreplaceable (i.e., if it'll just be rebuilt with info from the web app), I'd vote for both.
Yes, the DB is purely a cache. The data will be replaced with content retrieved via the API.
got the same problem on Windows XP.
first the collections appeared then they didnt, then i made a new collection and it appeared again but now again its broken.
Also the names of my Collections in the 'Send To' Menu have old names and vary in count.
ill try deleteing the sql file now.
I'm having this or some related problem on two hosts:

 * Ubuntu Gnu/Linux 9.04 - Firefox 3.5.2
 * Windows XP - Firefox 3.5.2

I have tried deleting the database on the windows host but it did not help :-(
the database reappear though.

I have not tried to create a new profile.

My problem seems to be the one described in 507236, when having illegal characters in the collection names ( ' in Web Developer's Toolbox) removing that collection everything works perfectly.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
I suspect one of the changes I checked in for bug 507236 (r48616) might also help with this.
Target Milestone: BW-1.0.4 → BW-1.0.5
removing Web Developer's Toolbox doesnt help here
though now i dont have fav collections with probably illegal characters
Version 1.0.4 of the Add-on Collector has been released, possibly fixing this problem for some users. Please try it out:
