Bookmark and history window now have same column layout for bookmarks, history, and search subtrees.
It's not suitable. I want to see "parent folder" column in bookmark search results, but not want it in history.
I want to see last changed and added for bookmarks, but they shouldn't be sorted.
So, different layouts can be for bookmarks, history, bookmark search results, history search results.

Are you talking about the 'Library' window?  This is what is opened up when you select 'Organize Bookmarks' from the bookmarks menu and when you select 'Show All History' from the history menu.

Also, I don't follow SeaMonkey but you reported this in the Firefox product.  I'm not sure if SeaMonkey uses the places bookmark and history code yet for bookmarks and history.

Yes, I say about "Library" window, opens as you wrote, and yes, I report this bug about firefox trunk.

this is probably a valid request, similar/related to bug 396725.
But at the same time i can recall some bug about this issue, so could be a dupe (or i'm simply recalling thoughts about the above bug). Btw should probably be handled better since bookmarks/history/downloads have more likely different useful informations.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
