Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1pre) Gecko/20090630 SeaMonkey/2.0b1pre - Build ID: 20090630000623

In Edit => Preferences => Appearance, I have:
_When SeaMonkey starts up, open_________________________
 [ ] Browser
 [x] Mail & Newsgroups
 [ ] Composer
 [ ] Address Book
 [ ] ChatZilla

However, when I click a desktop icon with "Application" set to:
  LC_TIME='en_GB' seamonkey >> ~/seamonkey.log 2>&1
what opens is the Browser, not the Mailer. (I checked that "ps -lC seamonkey" didn't return anything before starting, and the above preference is as set in the default profile opened by that Browser).

This used to work; for a few days (today and yesterday at least, less sure for older builds) it hasn't.

FWIW, I'm on openSUSE Linux 11.1 with KDE3 winmanager and bash shell.

I know I can work around it by explicitly adding -mail on the command-line, but this would defeat the whole purpose of having a visible preference with a user-settable and -changeable default.

VERIFIED. That bug also has the regression window which I was too lazy to determine with certainty.
