I tried the default reset in Comment 2.  Didn't work to get buttons back.  I tried to create a new profile, but when I type firefox.exe - profilemanager into run and hit enter, it opens a new window but goes nowhere.  Same thing happens when I click a link in an email - it opens a new window but goes nowhere.

It should work the way 3.1 did.

Either way, try -P instead of -profilemanager

Resolving this bug as incomplete due to the reporter not providing more information as requested.  Please reopen this bug if you can still reproduce will the latest version of Firefox and if you can provide the information that was requested.
