When I type, e.g. www.google.com into the location bar and hit enter, nothing happens: in 1.1.6, typing in the location bar would drop down matching entries in the history list and hitting enter would bring up the url typed. This occurs with any URL entered.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Type a url into the location bar.
2. Hit enter.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens and the url entered does not come up.

Expected Results:
Items in history list should appear in a dropdown whilst typing; url typed should come up after hitting enter.

Additionally, the "Go" button was set to not appear. I re-enabled it in preferences on the off chance that was the problem, but it didn't solve anything. I had the latest NoScript addon (1.9.5 from http://noscript.net), StumbleUpon 3.16 (the latest StumbleUpon mod hasn't worked right in SeaMonkey since 3.17), and PrefBar 4.2 (http://prefbar.mozdev.org/).

Do you have any incompatible extensions installed? They might be interfering with normal functionality.
I've experienced the same problem but my history does show up while I type in the adress. Pressing the enter key (either of them) after entering the adress does nothing, but if I click the go arrow at the end of the bar it opens up the page.
SeaMonkey 1.1.x isn't supported anymore. Can you still reproduce it with SeaMonkey 2?

Heh. This was so long ago, I eventually switched to FF. (That's the workaround.)
Nobody can reproduce this on current SeaMonkey releases => closing as WORKSFORME
