Please install Firefox3.5 in a complete empty directory. You have to manually clean the application directory or install in a different folder.
This error indicates there is a old or broken dll in your Firefox folder.
Hello!
The problem is solved. You have to change the name of DWMAPI.dll in anything.dll then mozilla works.
Thanks for help!

DWMAPI.dll is part of vista and should not exist under XP !
Some stupid application seems to install this file under XP.

jmathies@mozilla.com:
I know that this is a win32 issue, the DLL should not be exists on a WinXP system and you find many reports in google that people get this error if they run other software and not only Firefox but do you have a clue which win32 API call triggers this error because this is new with FF3.5 ?

This wouldn't be Fx. We use calls in this dll but we dynamically load them. (See theme data in widget)
