This doesn't happen all the time, but once in a while. I think it has something to do with the page previous loaded, but I haven't figured it out yet. After reload it is gone. It started with FF 3.5. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Browse on several sites 2. Go to the google usenet page directly, using a bookmark 3. Actual Results: Left window is on the right, hiding normal text. Expected Results: Left window on the right.
I found the right sequence to reproduce. I did a fresh start of Firefox 3.5 I went to the recent changes of the Wiki: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Special:RecentChanges Then to the usenet group: http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.planning/topics And voila! Rather severe bug, because it indicates some memory is not set. These kind of bugs can also have crashes as symptoms. Lucas
It still doesn't appear every time.
How are you getting to the usenet group? Also, please try: 1. Try to reproduce in Safe Mode. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode 2. Disable all add-on and see what the minimal set of add-ons installed will cause this problem to reproduce 3. Try to reproduce in a new profile. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles
I go the site by a bookmark. And I don't think it is related to an add-on, because I already had this problem with 3.5b99 version (first 3.5 version I started using), while none of my add-ons were working. Well, except for firebug. I think it is triggered by small changes on the usenet page (maybe the advertisement). It consistently reproduced, the last time for several times, including from a fresh restart. And now, it consistently doesn't reproduce. I will try every day this sequence. Is there a good add-an to copy the whole page, including referenced sources? If it reproduces, then I want to copy all data. Lucas
