To remain consistent with the Edit menu and standard OS [Windows, at least]
convention, the context menu for selected text in Composer should
have "Delete", not "Clear".
Beth, can you please approve of the change?

Blake, on win the option should be delete, on mac it should be clear, on linux
it should be delete. Simon suggested that maybe you could use a platform
overlay, similar to what was done for the file menu Exit/Quit option.
Before putting this on the + radar, is this what you had planned?

I just stumbled across bug 47213 while reading the UI newsgroup. This appears
to be a dup. I'll see if I can salvage any part of my fix to help out with
that bug, but the fixes are likely to be different -- my fix was only for
composer, whereas Charley is working on a global app fix (which seems like the
more correct solution).
