Build ID: 2000082408

If you select an item in a tree with columns that can be sorted, and then sort
by a column, the item is no longer selected.

Actually, this works mac/win32 for today's build in the mailnews threadPane.
However, the selection is lost in the tree for History or Bookmarks.

So Dave, is this something that specific apps are doing|not doing, or is the
difference in behaviour something that the tree is not doing right. (My guess
is the former).

This could either be done in RDF, or worked around at the app level, as mail
already does.  ->waterson for consideration.

rjc: thoughts? should the XUL sort service do this? It wouldn't break my heart
if you future'd or wontfix'd this.

In addition to keeping the item selected, the tree should scroll to the new
position of the selected item (or one of them if multiple items are selected).
