Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_7; en-us) AppleWebKit/530.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.1 Safari/530.18
Build Identifier: 1.6.8

Camino said there was a new version available and did I want to install it. I said yes. It auto-installed and then when it relaunched I got an error "You cannot open the application "Camino" because it is not supported on this architecture." The application now has a generic icon with a circle-slash "no" symbol on it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch by whatever means.
2. Read error message.
3. Click OK and not have Camino launch.
Actual Results:
Camino failed to launch and posted an error message.

Expected Results:
Camino should launch without error.

Intel Duo-Core MacBook 2.2 GHz with 4 GB RAM.

Was this updating from 1.6.7 to 1.6.8?

If you do a Get Info on the non-working Camino in the Finder, what is the reported size of the app? Also, what does the Get Info window list as the Architecture (Universal, PowerPC, Intel)?
The reported size is 40k. No architecture is reported in the Get Info window. But the version says: Camino 1.6.8, © 1998-2009 Contributors

I have manually downloaded Camino and it works fine: the 40k file is what Camino auto-downloaded for its own update.
I have the same problem. Here is what is in my console log:

What's up with that Webex entry? I ran Webex a few days ago, but not at 9:51 this morning when I restarted after upgrade. Although, now that I think of it, I may have upgraded around that time, but then not restarted Camino until now . . . I'm not sure when I hit the upgrade button but it was a few days ago, and I just this morning noticed the "ready to restart" button and hit it and got the "not supported on this architecture" error.

Anyway, to continue on with my info for this bug, Get Info shows it as "32KB on disk (159 bytes)", whatever that means.
Since we know that Sparkle changed the code for installing the new copy, including fixing a race condition, I'm thinking that our best bet at this point is to just wait and see if this ever shows up with 2.0b4 or later.
At any rate, downloading 1.6.9 from the Mozilla site manually did the trick. Thanks.
Duping to the earlier bug, since this is pre-2.0a1 as well.
