It would be beneficial to have multiple search bars for different searches (say, one for Google and one for Wikipedia) on the top bar containing the URL bar and the navigation buttons, rather than just one bar. Switching from one search type to another is a hassle; it requires much switching between mouse and keyboard.

Reproducible: Always

Hardware: x86 → All
Bug 501604 will probably help out a lot.

I still believe this is a wontfix. As said over in bug 521749 the search bar will be moved directly into the location bar in Firefox 4.
Whiteboard: [wontfix?]
