The black line is also shown in all the mathematical formulas in Wikipedia, for example in this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_rule
Works for me here. Can you reproduce this in safe mode?

I just noticed that I get these black/gray lines in most pictures when I zoom in and out, but not on every zoom level. These pictures tend to have resolution like 201x46, so I bet it's a rounding issues somewhere.
Do you see it too when disabling zoom (100%) ?
Ah, that fixes it (I always thought I was at 100% zoom, seems like I was merely close..). So it's an issue with zoom only..

Yes, but there's still a bug whenever I use zoom. I'm too lazy to make a new bug report for that.
Hmm, could you post the steps to reproduce it? I tried zooming in and out but didn't see any black lines. Or you could make a new bug report =)
Might also be a duplicate of Bug 422364, but the two bugs seem slightly different.
