I've read the Bugzilla article about changing toolkit.networkmanager.disable to true in about:config
Unfortunately that line doesn't seem to be in my XP version of about:config
I googled the problem and didn't find it reported for XP.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. any restart of Firefox 3.5
2.
3.
Actual Results:
This machine is an older AMD CPU running XP sp3.
I am in a rural area and the connection is dialup, which worked fine previously.
When looking at about:config there are a LOT of entries for NoScript; I have a few other addons as well, but all have been installed for several update cycles without problem.
My network connections box in XP has changed behavior as well.
A rightclick on the lower right toolbar icon used to always open a Disconnect menu; now {sometimes} it will only open Network Connections

If you start Firefox before you finish connecting via dialup Firefox will start in the offline mode.
toolkit.networkmanager.disable only applies to Firefox for Linux.

Same here, and FF is kind of erratic when there isn't a network connection enabled all the time, but since 3.5 is far worse.
Isn't there some config switch to keep FF 3.5 ALWAYS online? I'd like to ged rid of or at least disable FF network detection. As side note both FF 1.5-3.0 and TB 1.5-3.0 behave almost fine, is just FF 3.5-3.6 where this is really anoying.

By the way. I posted Bug 500369 a while ago for this very same issue.
