User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr; rv:1.9.0.9) Gecko/2009040821 Firefox/3.0.9
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr; rv:1.9.0.9) Gecko/?? Firefo/3.5

I'm connected to the web behind a corporate proxy with a ".pac"

Where I start FF, the proxy ask me an user/psw, that's the normal way. But after a while (around 5'), the proxy session seems to be lost and FF return the error page "proxy server refused connection"

This problem have appeared with the version 3.0.10 and I must use the previous version (3.0.9) to surf on the web.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start FF
2. type user/psw authentication to pass thru the proxy
3. 5' later "proxy server refused connection"
4. anable to sign up again
5. shut down FF
Actual Results:
FF don't crach but it's not possible to surf behind an authenticating proxy
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090624 Firefox/3.5
Does it work again if you switch Firefox manually to the offline mode and back online with File/offline instead of shutting down Firefox ?

No, it still doesn't work.
I did some tests with the 3.5.1 (I know that the pbl will not be resolve but sometime.....) .
I change my network conf. I declare a proxy : one of the two proxy that I found in the automatic proxy conf.
That's work ! The proxy ask me to sign up and I could read the Google search home page. But for some other urls like mail.google.com , it's dont work. With the second proxy too.

In the "proxy.pac", the return is something like this :
    return "PROXY blablabla_1.soc.fr:nnnn; PROXY blablabla_2.soc.fr:nnnn";
mail.google.com is using https and not http
I'had filled the ssl field with the same proxy.
That's work !

Stop bothering developers with this minor problem, you are the only one, who has it
Please ignore comment #7, he added this comment to several bugs.

We need a http log but I don't know if this instructions will log connections to a https server: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/HTTP_Logging
In a certain way, this remind me that I should bring you back some more log with the latest versions. Give me 2 or 3 weeks and the weakness of mind to answer.

"Ben mon canard, il t'a fallu quand même presque 9 mois pour découvrir mon harcèlement ! A la revoyure."
excuses for comment 7, some is spamming various bugs, see bug 567347
So the last try with :
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3

With this version I used the new configuration "Use system proxy settings"

Firefox don't bug, but after a while, it loses the proxy session.

When I'm connected with IE, the proxy session is not lost or refound !

I don't find how to get a log.
Attached file First log
The proxy conf is auto.
After starting FF, I tried http://www.google.fr/ and http://mail.google.com/
Attached file Second log
Second log

The proxy conf is "Use system proxy settings"
After starting FF, I tried http://www.google.fr/ and http://mail.google.com/
I think you just have 2 proxies and therefore need 2 credentials.. they are collected on demand.
