Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090624 Firefox/3.5 Build Identifier: unknown (live add-ons page as of July 7, 2009) For an add-on that has multiple platform files for the current version (eg. one for Mac and one for Windows): - If the add-on contains a EULA, clients may not be directed to download the correct platform file from the EULA page. (For example, observed behavior was that BOTH Mac clients and Windows clients were being downloading the Mac version from the EULA page). Removing the EULA resolved this problem. (This may be related to Bug 431202... at least that's what inspired me to experiment with removing the EULA) ** One other note - this Add-on was in the sandbox stage at the time of observing this bug. Do not know if that had an impact or not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Identify (or create) an Add-on that has multiple xpi files for different platforms) 2. Be sure that it has a EULA in the description 3. Attempt to download from each of those platforms Actual Results: All clients (both Windows and Mac in my case) attempted to download the Mac xpi from the EULA page. Expected Results: Each client should download the correct platform-specific xpi ** One other note - this Add-on was in the sandbox stage at the time of observing this bug. Do not know if that had an impact or not.
