This is a tracking bug for QA (myself, Juan, and kbrosnan) to find a test URL. Here is the test case, the purpose of which is to verify the site identifier (text that appears in the favicon box) truncates when it is over a certain length: https://litmus.mozilla.org/show_test.cgi?id=7816 The current test URL truncates on Mac and Linux only because the font size is smaller on Windows. Hence, the text is able to fit within the bounds of the Windows favicon box without truncating. We need to find a test URL which has a site identifier >50 characters.

Actually, that's kind of buggy. The test should just tell the user to make his window smaller, at which time the ev text *should* truncate. Unfortunately, it doesn't. I'll file a bug about that and mark it as blocking this one.

I'd like it included in the results for today's MozQA test day. Thanks.

(In reply to comment #1) Sorry for the bugspam, this is something else. I was talking about the favicon text. Anyways, filed bug 503585. I'll put the text in the whiteboard though...
Thanks, I'd like to see what becomes of that bug before we put the time and resources into researching long-enough URLs. Marking this bug as depends on bug 503585.

Hrm, so is this about the larry bar or the favicon? It seems the latter, as I'm not aware of any larry bar behavior for certs.
Sorry, what I meant to say originally was that the site operator needs to be >50 characters. This screenshot illustrates. Note that it's truncated on Mac. On Windows, no such truncation takes place. What we need is an operator that is long enough to truncate on all (i.e. "which is operated by")

Found URL thanks to Johnath -> https://www.juf.org/
