User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090624 Firefox/3.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1) Gecko/20090624 Firefox/3.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Hello, I have just installed 'user agent switcher (version 0.7.2), it was happy and didn't say it was not incompatible. After installing it said changes will take effect after a restart. So I let it restart. Except it didn't restart. So I manually started firefox and in the add-ons the item is still in the waiting to install and firefox is still saying 'restart firefox to apply changes'. If I uninstall a plug-in or try and and install another one, they just go in the queue and wait forever. I've tried following the usual website finds, i.e. rename/delete the extensions files (.ini, .cache, .rdp) and this still fails. Starting in safemode fails as well. i.e. Firefox is knackered. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Maybe it'll fail for you? download the link as detailed and see if it fails 2. 3. Actual Results: Firefox doesn't restart Expected Results: Firefox is now knackered. Reinstalling firefox fails also. worked.
It sounds liek your profile is corrupted. Did you follow the steps found here, http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?locale=en-US&comments_parentId=319215&forumId=1? If that does not work, create a brand new profile, and try to install.
