User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.22) Gecko/20090606 SeaMonkey/1.1.17 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.22) Gecko/20090606 SeaMonkey/1.1.17 After entering a stock quote at http://money.aol.com/ the browser redirects to a site finance.aol.com and displays the requested quote. There is something on the page that is obliterating the masthead at the top of the resulting web page, large white space. Does not occur with Firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://money.aol.com/ 2. Input a stock ticker symbol, browser redirects to finance.aol.com to display quote. 3. Item at top of page obliterates the masthead. Actual Results: Whatever is at the top of the page should display correctly, as it is not an issue with Firefox, it appears to be a SeaMonkey issue and not with the web site itself. Expected Results: Page should have displayed properly. Attaching a screenshot.
The applet at the top of that page is Flash. The Windows release of SM 1.1.17 does not exhibit this behavior, the page displays correctly.

SeaMonekey 2.0b1pre and 1.1.17 works fine. See Comment #2, I close this for now as wfm. Reporter, if you still run into this problem while using an recent Build, please reopen this bug.

Although the page displays fine with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1pre) Gecko/20090717 SeaMonkey/2.0b1pre, the problem also occurred on a second system running 1.1.17 for Linux. I am compelled to reopen this bug, if the group is going to continue to release versions 1.1.xx of SM (until 2.0 is ready), then I think this really should be looked into, especially where a screenshot is also included showing this problem. There is something different in 1.9.1.1pre that causes the page to display correctly where in 1.8.1.22 it does not.

I am not sure it is video-related as both of the systems contain different video chipsets (ATi Radeon and nVIDIA).
Version: 1.8 Branch → SeaMonkey 1.1 Branch
Closing ticket, problem does not occur with SM 2.0.
