Our convention for displaying dates in the thread pane has long been that
messages sent today show the time, messages sent in the last week show the day
and the time, and messages sent more than a week ago show the date and the time.

Clever though this seems, it generates a lot of complaints. Let's have a
Javascript preference to disable this, and use date and time for all messages.

We can decide later whether to put this pref into the UI. Feedback from scotty
and jglick needed here.
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
Currently it does this without a preference!
Target Milestone: M7
I'm marking this as M7. I don't know who is going to be handling dates. This
might be an RDF thing if we want consistency across all windows.
Target Milestone: M7 → M12
Marking this M12 (i.e. somewhere in the future). Currently we show everything
use the date/time format and nothing using the 4.5 way. At some point, if we
want to, we can add a pref that lets you go back to the 4.5 way.

Resolution: --- → WONTFIX
OK. We decided that we are only going to support the Date and Time format
instead of the way 4.5 does this. So, there will be no date conversion and no
pref to get it back.
Status: RESOLVED → VERIFIED
Per Lisa, mark it Verified/Wontfix.
